Florida East Coast train locomotive blown from the tracks by the 1928 hurricane. The photo is from the collection of William Hugh Chandler. He spoke of how the wind howled, the trees bowed to the ground and that they went as high as they could in their house to keep dry. He said the next day the railroad officials came to see the train derailed.
