A detail from an 1882 map of Hillsborough County overlayed on a current aerial of Hyde Park that shows two creeks traversing the neighborhood. The upper one is Spanishtown Creek that is now buried in a culvert. The other is an unknown one that was apparently hidden when the neighborhood was created.
